1 Occupancy based prices for your own web site

This page explains how to create prices for different occupancies

1.1 Example 1: A family room has a max. occupancy of four guests. It costs 100 for single occupancy, 150 for two guests, 170 for three guests and 190 for four guests.

Option 1 using RATES

  • "Single Price"=100
  • "Double Price"=150
  • "Extra Person"=20

Option 2 using Daily Prices Go to SETTINGS->PROPERTIES->ROOMS->DAILY PRICES and set

  • Daily Price 1 "Name"= 1 Guest (e.g.) and "Maximum Guests"=1
  • Daily Price 2 "Name"= 2 Guests (e.g.) and "Maximum Guests"=2
  • Daily Price 3 "Name"= 3 Guests (e.g.) and "Maximum Guests"=3
  • Daily Price 4 "Name"= 4 Guests (e.g.) and "Maximum Guests"=4

When you go to the CALENDAR you will now see additional "Daily Price" rows where you can enter the prices.

1.2 Example 2: An apartment can accommodate up to six guests. The price for four guests is 100, each additional guest costs 30.

Option 1 using RATES

  • "Room Price" = 100 up to 4 people
  • "Extra Person"=30

1.3 Example 3: A villa can accommodate up to 8 guests. 4 guests cost 200, 6 guests cost 250, eight guests cost 270.

Option 1 using RATES

  • Rate 1: "Room Price" = 200 up to 4 people
  • Rate 2: "Room Price" = 250 up to 6 people
  • Rate 3: "Room Price" = 270 up to 8 people

Option 2 using Daily Prices Go to SETTINGS->PROPERTIES->ROOMS->DAILY PRICES and set

  • Daily Price 1 "Name"= 4 Guests (e.g.) and "Maximum Guests"=4
  • Daily Price 2 "Name"= 6 Guests (e.g.) and "Maximum Guests"=6
  • Daily Price 3 "Name"= 8Guests (e.g.) and "Maximum Guests"=8

When you go to the CALENDAR you will now see additional "Daily Price" rows where you can enter the prices.

Note: Make sure you have set the "Daily Price Strategy" SETTINGS->PROPERTIES->BOOKING RULES to "Allow Lower Prices" to avoid the system using the highest price.

2 Occupancy based prices for channels

Many channel support prices for different occupancies. If you are using the channel manger check the channels capabilities before you set up your prices.

In principle there are two options to send prices for multiple occupancies:

1. Derived Prices

The channel auto calculates different occupancies from one standard rate. Ask your your rep to set this up. This option means you only need to send one rate from Beds24 to the channel and channel will auto-calculate the other rate options.

2. Multiple Rate Ids

The channel sets up multiple rate ids for each room, each with pre-defined booking conditions. Beds24 can map a different Beds24 rate or offer to each rate id.

For more information refer to the specific channel help page for information.
