The Time Offset and the Send Trigger settings work together to determine when the email should be sent.
The Time Offset is applied to the Trigger Event to determine when the action should first trigger.


A positive time offset value will work with the Send Trigger rule to send the email.
A positive Time Offset value is after the event and a negative value is before the event.


In particular the send trigger "Before Check-in" needs a positive time offset to send before check-in. In this case a negative time offset will send after check-in.
In particular to trigger an action before Check-in requires a negative Time Offset value with the Check-in Trigger Event.
