You can set extras to be charged on a per booking (one time), a daily, nightly or on a weekly basis. "Per night" is based on the number of nights, if you choose "daily" also the check-out day is counted.
Percentage items ignore this setting and are always charged one time.
An item set as refundable (e.g. security deposit) is charged on the booking page but is not included in prices sent to price comparison channels such as Tripadvisor and Trivago.
