Synchronising Beds24.com with your Flipkey calendar
Capabilities
- Beds24.com can export inventory.
- Beds24 provides a specially constructed calendar file which Flipkey polls for updates at a rate determined by Flipkey.
- Beds24 can import the Flipkey iCal bookings feed

Limitations
- Prices cannot be exported and must be set in the Flipkey system.
- You will need to routinely log in to Flipkey and respond to your enquiries.
- Bookings can be imported using the Flipkey iCal feed but it does not contain much more information than the booked dates.
- Only dates blocked by Beds24 can be re-opened. Dates blocked from other synced calendars within Flipkey or manually in Flipkey cannot be re-opened.
- Flipkey does not supply export Ical for all accounts.
Setup
XML method
Beds24 supplies XML data which Flipkey periodically read and use to update the Flipkey calendar.
1) Enable the Flipkey "Synchronise Inventory" check box for the required rooms.
2) Note the Beds24 roomid value for each room.
3) Find the matching Flipkey listing ID number for each room.
4) Send an email to [email protected] with your matching roomid and listing Id codes and request connection of your listing to the Beds24 XML end point at https://api.beds24.com/flipkey.com/
5) Once Flipkey (Tripadvisor) connect you, the Flipkey calendar will update to match your Beds24 calendar.
OBSOLETE ical method
Beds24.com:
1) Enable the Flipkey "Synchronise Inventory" check box for the required rooms.
2) Note the supplied URL for each room, you will need to paste this into Flipkey as described below.
3) Paste the Flipkey booked dates iCal feed URL into "Export Calendar (Bookings)"
Flipkey.com:
1) Log in to Flipkey.
2) Goto the calendar menu "Sync with other calendars".
3) Select calendar type "Other"
4) Give the calendar a name, this is only for your reference.
5) Paste the calendar URL into Flipkey (The URL is supplied in the channel manager settings)
Calendar Sync
Flipkey do not re-open dates which are blocked in their calendar by other sources.
These dates must be set to "Available" manually in the Flipkey calendar.
If the Sync is working but out of date because of many blocked dates this can be fixed by setting all dates in Flipkey to Available and then doing a "Sync Now" in Flipkey's "Sync with other calendars"
