Cleaning Fees
This page explains how to set up cleaning fees

1 Display prices including cleaning fees on the first screen on your booking page

To do this, you use a Fixed Price that already contains the fees.

Only use this method if you want the prices displayed to the guest to include the cleaning fee. To add cleaning fees as obligatory extras go to (SETTINGS) BOOKING ENGINE > UPSELL ITEMS.

Example: The price per night is €100. € 50 cleaning fee apply regardless on how long the guest stays.

"Summary" tab of the Fixed price:

  • Room Price = 150

"Discounts" tab of the Fixed Price:

  • Nights = 2
  • Per night = 50
Note: Discounts set in the "Discounts" tab of the Fixed Price do not send to OTAs. Check the help page of the OTAs you are using for information on how fees are handled.

2 Display cleaning fee on the first page of the booking page

You can use for example "Description 2" for the offer in (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES > OFFERS. The text will display if the module "Offer Description 2" in (SETTINGS) BOOKING ENGINE > PROPERTY BOOKING PAGE > LAYOUT is activated.

3 Add cleaning fee as obligatory extra

To add cleaning fees as obligatory extras go to

(SETTINGS) BOOKING ENGINE > UPSELL ITEMS and choose 'Obligatory Cleaning' from the drop-down menu.

3.1 Have different obligatory cleaning fees for different rooms

Upsell items are created on property level. However, you can activate an upsell item for a Fixed Price, and the Fixed Price can be specific for a room.

Create your different upsell items/obligatory cleaning fees.

Open the Fixed Price and go to the upsell tab and activate/deactivate the cleaning fee you want for the room that is attached to the Fixed Price.

This doesn't work with channels because you can not export upsell items to channels.

Note: Obligatory extras do not send to all OTAs. Check the help page of the OTAs you are using for information on how fees are handled.

4 Send cleaning fees to OTAs
