This page documents changes to the Control Panel

We are working on improving usability and workflows. This involves changes to the location of settings, setting names and menus.

1 Release: April 13h 2024

1.1 Improvements to the Calendar

  • a * icon with a price indicates that there is a minimum stay set in the daily price rule for this daily price.
  • hover texts on the Daily Prices in the Calendar show you miniumum stays, maximum stays and prices for different occupancies
  • group bookings are marked with a icon. For the master booking, the circle is filled.

1.2 Renamed Settings

In the booking API message renamed to Channel Info

2 Release: April 10th 2024

2.1 Booking.com Onboarding Flow

Properties can activate the connection themselves when ready.

Beds24 will not auto-activate properties for Booking.com any more.

3 Release: Jan 30th 2024

3.1 Look & Feel

Selects, Dropdowns, input fields and some Buttons received a refresh.

3.2 Renamed and moved Settings

The "Room Name" for Booking.com was renamed to "Room Type Name" and the setting was moved to (SETTINGS) CHANNEL MANAGER > BOOKING.COM > CONTENT > SPECIFIC ROOM CONTENT.

3.3 Menu Changes

On (SETTINGS) CHANNEL MANAGER > BOOKING.COM > SYNC CONTENT - all content related menu pages are now submenus of (SETTINGS) CHANNEL MANAGER > BOOKING.COM > CONTENT.

4 Release: Jan 8th 2024

4.1 Renamed Pages and Settings

DAILY PRICE SETUP renamed to DAILY PRICE RULES

"Rates" renamed to "Fixed Prices"

Why we want to do this: Many customers starting with Beds24 confuse what we call rates with channel rate plans. Using the terms "Daily Prices" for dynamic prices and "fixed prices" for prices which have a start and an end date should stop this. 

5 Release: Dec 30th 2023

5.1 Renamed Pages and Settings

"Details tab of the booking: "API Message"  to "Channel Info",

(SETTINGS) PROPERTIES > BOOKING RULES: "Booking Cancellations by Guest" to "Cancellations by Guest"

(SETTINGS) CHANNEL MANAGER > PROPERTY CONTENT "Headline Text" to "Property Headline"

(SETTINGS) CHANNEL MANAGER > PROPERTY CONTENT "Property Description Text" to "Property Description"

(SETTINGS) CHANNEL MANAGER > PROPERTY CONTENT > ROOM CONTENT "Room Headline Text" to "Room Headline"

(SETTINGS) CHANNEL MANAGER > PROPERTY CONTENT > ROOM CONTENT "Room Description Text" to "Room Description"

(SETTINGS) PROPERTIES >ROOMS > SETUP: "Id Number"  to "Room ID"

5.2 Moved Settings

"VAT Rate" moved from (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES > BOOKING RULES (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES >ROOMS > SETUP

"Price Rounding" moved from (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES > BOOKING RULES to (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES >ROOMS > SETUP

"ROOM TYPE" moved from (SETTINGS) CHANNEL MANAGER > PROPERTY CONTENT /ROOM CONTENT to (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES >ROOMS > SETUP

"Sell Priority"  removed from (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES >  DESCRIPTION because this is also available in (SETTINGS) BOOKING ENGINE > MULTI BOOKING PAGE > PROPERTY SETTINGS.

"Cancellation Policy" and "General Policy" moved from (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES >  DESCRIPTION to  (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES > BOOKING RULES

5.3 Menu Changes

Additional tab navigation with shortcuts in

  • PRICES > DAILY PRICES
  • (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES
  • (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES > ROOMS
  • (SETTINGS) BOOKING ENGINE > PROPERTY BOOKING PAGE

(SETTINGS) CHANNEL MANAGER > CONTENT pages are now also linked via shortscuts in (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES and (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES > ROOMS

Reorganised categories in (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES >DESCRIPTION new categories are: 

  • General
  • Contact
  • Location
  • Price and Currency
  • Display
  • Features
  • Property Templates

Reorganized categories on (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES > BOOKING RULES, new categories are: 

  • Same Day Booking Cut Off
  • Normal Bookings
  • Near Term Bookings
  • Exceptional Period Bookings
  • Daily Price Strategy
  • Cancellations by Guest
  • Booking Status
  • General Policy
  • Cancellation Policy
