This page documents changes to the Control Panel

We are working on improving usability and workflows. This involves changes to the location of settings, setting names and menus.

Release: Jan 30th 2024

Look & Feel

Selects, Dropdowns, input fields and some Buttons received a refresh.

Renamed and moved Settings

The "Room Name" for Booking.com was renamed to "Room Type Name" and the setting was moved to (SETTINGS) CHANNEL MANAGER > BOOKING.COM > CONTENT > SPECIFIC ROOM CONTENT.

Menu Changes

On (SETTINGS) CHANNEL MANAGER > BOOKING.COM > SYNC CONTENT - all content related menu pages are now submenus of (SETTINGS) CHANNEL MANAGER > BOOKING.COM > CONTENT.

Renamed Pages and Settings

DAILY PRICE SETUP renamed to DAILY PRICE RULES

"Rates" renamed to "Fixed Prices"

Why we want to do this: Many customers starting with Beds24 confuse what we call rates with channel rate plans. Using the terms "Daily Prices" for dynamic prices and "fixed prices" for prices which have a start and an end date should stop this.

"VAT Rate" moved from (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES > BOOKING RULES (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES >ROOMS > SETUP

"Price Rounding" moved from (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES > BOOKING RULES to (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES >ROOMS > SETUP

"ROOM TYPE" moved from (SETTINGS) CHANNEL MANAGER > PROPERTY CONTENT /ROOM CONTENT to (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES >ROOMS > SETUP

"Sell Priority"  removed from (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES >  DESCRIPTION because this is also available in (SETTINGS) BOOKING ENGINE > MULTI BOOKING PAGE > PROPERTY SETTINGS.

"Cancellation Policy" and "General Policy" moved from (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES >  DESCRIPTION to  (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES > BOOKING RULES
