This page is about the menu MESSAGES and explains how to view and answer messages from OTAs directly from Beds24.

1 Summary
The list only shows messages from guests who booked on channels with a direct messaging integration which are Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, Vrbo group inkl. Abritel, FewoDirekt, Stayz.
- The complete message thread with a guest is available in "API Messages" tab in the booking. Attachments are available as links.
- You and your guests will see the messages in the channels extranet and apps
- You can view all messages also from the "API Messages" component on the DASHBOARD.
2 Send messages to guests
Open the booking and go to the "Messages" tab or click on the message on the dashboard to open the thread.
Enter your reply there. Auto Actions can be used to send message templates from the "Mail & Actions" tab.
There is a hard limit for attachments, the limit is 2MB per message and make sure the attachment is in a supported file type.
3 Supported OTA's

3.1 Airbnb
You can communicate with Airbnb guests directly from Beds24.
Airbnb allows links but does not support HTML therefore we recommend you add a plain text version to your Auto Actions.
The messages will be added to the Airbnb reservation message thread.
Airbnb supports attachments in JPG, GIF and PNG format.
3.2 Booking.com
You can communicate with Booking.com guests directly from Beds24.
Booking.com does not support HTML therefore we recommend you add a plain text version to your Auto Actions. Booking.com allows attachments but no links or pdfs.
You and your guests will see the messages in Booking.com Messaging Center.
3.3 Expedia
Expedia does not support HTML therefore we recommend you add a plain text version to your Auto Actions.
Expedia supports attachments in JPG, PNG and PDF format.
3.4 Vrbo
You can communicate with Vrbo guests directly from Beds24.
Vrbo allows links but does not support HTML therefore we recommend you add a plain text version to your Auto Actions.
The messages will be added to the Vrbo reservation message thread.
Vrbo supports attachments in PDF, JPG, PNG, and GIF format.
